Patrick Samuel

Patrick is the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for Visual Symphonia, but really, he’s more than that — he’s the band’s musical explorer. He has a way of picking up any instrument and turning it into something completely new. From keyboards and harmonicas to sitars and tablas, Patrick’s ability to play so many different instruments brings a unique sound to everything we create.

Being neurodiverse, Patrick experiences the world in a deeply textured way, and it’s something you can hear in his music. His voice is another instrument in itself, capable of everything from delicate Carnatic melodies to harmonies that sound like a choir. That versatility adds many layers to each song we put out.

But music isn’t his only canvas. Patrick’s also a visual artist who has held over a dozen solo exhibitions, and he’s diving into the world of digital art as well. His illustrated book The Sound of Purple came out in 2023, and he’s got two more graphic novels in the works for 2025.

When it comes to the look and feel of Visual Symphonia, that’s all Patrick. From album covers to the stage outfits, he’s behind every design. He even picked up the “Best Dressed” title at Whitby Goth Weekend’s Masquerade Ball in Spring 2024 — not that he was trying to. That’s just him being himself.

Patrick doesn’t follow trends; he creates his own path. Whether he’s on stage, in the studio, or working on his next piece of art, everything he does comes from a place of authenticity. That’s what makes him so central to who we are as a band.
